Our small, friendly nursery unit allows each child to be treated as an individual; ensuring that the learning experiences that are offered are unique to each child and are able to accommodate every child’s stage of development. Our aim is to provide a happy, caring stimulating environment for young children to learn – capturing their natural curiosities and interests and nurturing a love of learning. The nursery week is busy and varied and much use is made of the outdoor environment – so waterproofs and wellingtons are essential!
Lydbury North Nursery is open five days a week during term time from 9:00 am until 3:00pm. We also offer breakfast provision from 8am, which nursery are welcome to access alongside the rest of the school family. We welcome children from age 2 and upwards.
We offer a nutritious hot lunch every day. The nursery children join the school family for their lunch and outdoor play. During this time, they are supervised by a nursery assistant to ensure their needs are met.
Children at Lydbury North Nursery work very closely with children in reception and join Maple class throughout the year for weekly music sessions and other special occasions. In addition, the children are provided with forest school sessions alongside many outdoor experiences.
Nursery often join in with trips to enhance their learning experiences including visiting the Owl Gardens at Kington, West Midlands Safari Park as well as various theatre performances.
