We provide nutritious school meals which are catered by Shire services. We operate a three week rolling menu. The nutrition values of the meals are calculated over the course of a week. Children have a choice of a meat or vegetarian option with a source of carbohydrate and vegetables. In addition, there is fresh bread, salad and fruit available on a daily basis. All allergens and dietary requirements are catered for.
Children who are in reception, year one and year two receive free meals as part of the universal infant free school meals scheme. Pupils who are in nursery, years 3 through to year six will be charged £2.60 for their meal. We use the payment system Arbor to collect payment for school meals online.
Some families are eligible for free school meals. Even if your child receives universal infant school meals, it is important to apply for this as the school receives additional funding to support children from low income families educationally.
